Cheela Plains Station is a family owned and managed working cattle station nestled in the semi-arid, pastoral rangelands of the Pilbara in northern Western Australia. Our station-stay is a welcome stop for travellers on the Nanutarra-Munjina Road between the World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef and Karjini National Park.

Wilderness Mussel Pool Bush Campsite - 1 Night

Wilderness Mussel Pool Bush Campsite - 1 Night

Exclusive bush campsites located along the Beasley River Gorge close to Mussel Pool swimming hole. Suitable for 4WD vehicles, off road caravans, camper trailers and roof top tents. Campsites are along the river pebbles. There are seven family sized campsites located along the river pebbles: a short walk from Mussel Pool. Each site has a small fire ring. Dogs on leads are very welcome. Children 6yrs to 15years half price and 0 to 5yrs are FOC. You must have your own chemical or bucket toilet when staying at Mussel Pool as ground water flows into the swimming holes. Portable Toilet Hire available when you book your campsite. On the way into the Beasley River Gorge campsite, a few kilometres downstream, just before you drive across the Beasley riverbed, there is a bush shower and toilet at Woongarra Pool which you are welcome to use. (All facilities were built by the Guildford Grammar School Rowing Crew). Please arrive at Cheela Plains Station Stay Reception by 4pm to collect your gate key ($20 key deposit). This will give you time to drive out to Mussel Pool and find your campsite. Your adventure begins by following the map 34 kms to the Beasley River Gorge where you will find your campsite. Please return your key to the Cheela Plains Station Stay office by 11am on your day of departure and collect your key deposit. Enjoy exploring the gorge and following the walking trails including Mussel Pool Look Out, Perentie Fall and The Wall. Enjoy a swim in Mussel Pool. Wilderness Mussel Pool Bush Campsites - 2 Nights

Exclusive bush campsites located along the Beasley River Gorge close to Mussel Pool swimming hole. Suitable for 4WD vehicles, off road caravans, camper trailers and roof top tents. Campsites are along the river pebbles. There are seven family sized campsites located along the river pebbles: a short walk from Mussel Pool. Each site has a small fire ring. Dogs on leads are very welcome. Children 6yrs to 15years half price and 0 to 5yrs are FOC. You must have your own chemical or bucket toilet when staying at Mussel Pool as ground water flows into the swimming holes. Portable Toilet Hire available when you book your campsite. On the way into the Beasley River Gorge campsite, a few kilometres downstream, just before you drive across the Beasley riverbed, there is a bush shower and toilet at Woongarra Pool which you are welcome to use. (All facilities were built by the Guildford Grammar School Rowing Crew). Please arrive at Cheela Plains Station Stay Reception by 4pm to collect your gate key ($20 key deposit). This will give you time to drive out to Mussel Pool and find your campsite. Your adventure begins by following the map 34 kms to the Beasley River Gorge where you will find your campsite. Please return your key to the Cheela Plains Station Stay office by 11am on your day of departure and collect your key deposit. Enjoy exploring the gorge and following the walking trails including Mussel Pool Look Out, Perentie Fall and The Wall. Enjoy a swim in Mussel Pool. One of our favourite locations on the station is the naturally formed Woongarra Pool on the Beasley River; a stunning, remote location to enjoy a night under the stars. There are six large, designated campsites adequately spaced for privacy, but can also comfortably accommodate a small group. Dogs on leads are very welcome. Children 6yrs to 15years half price and 0 to 5yrs are FOC. Woongarra Pool is 32km from Cheela Plains Reception and is accessible by 2WD (includes 10km gravel road). Please note, exploring past Woongarra Pool requires 4WD. A communal bush shower and long-drop toilet are provided, and each site has a small campfire ring. The ‘Bush Kitchen’ is located nearby with a large fire pit and sweeping views of the range. Enjoy exploring the gorge, swimming at Mussel Pool and following the walking trails including Mussel Pool Look Out, Perentie Fall and The Wall. Terms, conditions and privacy policy BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS The COVID-19 terms and conditions apply to ALL BOOKINGS made at Cheela Plains Station Stay. Placing a booking with Cheela Plains Station Stay constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. BUSINESS COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY As of 29 April 2022, Cheela Plains Station Stay no longer requires guests are up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations. However, in accordance with Cheela Plains Station Stay’s duty to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, we are adopting this policy to safeguard the health of our customers and visitors, our employees, and the community at large from infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, that may be reduced by vaccinations. In the event the Government (Federal or State) impose vaccination requirements, all customers, employees and visitors are required to be compliant with current mandates unless a reasonable accommodation is otherwise approved by any relevant authority or Cheela Plains Station Stay. Where a person is not in compliance with this policy, the person will not be granted entry to the premises, event, or service. In such circumstances: • for customers, the company’s refund and/or credit policy may apply. • for employees, they will be placed on unpaid leave until their employment status is determined. The customer shall comply with all Government (Federal and State) COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access the operator’s premises, event or service. Where the customer does not meet a vaccination or testing requirement: • prior to departure from the customer’s home location, the customer will forfeit any and all monies paid; or • for entry to the event or venue or access to the service, the customer will not be granted entry and will forfeit any and all monies paid. P/L ALL GUESTS STAYING AT CHEELA PLAINS STATION STAY AGREE TO: • You agree to ensure that all occupants treat the Property and all fittings with reasonable care and you agree to pay for any damage caused by misuse, neglect or abuse during your occupancy. • You agree to ensure that all occupants act in a manner that does not cause any nuisance or disturbance to nearby occupiers. • You agree to comply with all applicable laws and with the regulations. • You agree to vacate the Property in a reasonably clean condition, including all barbeques and other fittings. You agree to pay any reasonable excess cleaning fees if the Property is not left in a clean condition. • You agree to not exceed the maximum number of occupants specified in the Booking Agreement. KEY POLICY Guests travelling out and around the station on the 4x4 Self-Drive Safari will require a key that can be collected at reception. To obtain a key guests must agree to a $50 replacement charge if the key is not returned. This penalty will be charged to the credit or debit card supplied at check-in. Alternatively, if a credit or debit card was not supplied a $50 deposit will be required to obtain the key. Room accommodation keys not returned will also incur a $50 replacement charge. This penalty will be charged to the credit or debit card supplied at check-in. Alternatively, if a credit or debit card was not supplied a $50 deposit will be required to obtain the key. PET POLICY Pets are permitted on leads but you agree that they are not allowed to enter accommodation or cleaning fees will apply of $75.00. This does not apply to seeing eye dogs. Guests are required to clean up after pets in all areas of the station stay including on any station drives/ wilderness camps. GUEST ACCOUNTABILITY Failure to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in your booking confirmation, which includes but is not exclusive to, damages caused to your accommodation/campground site and its contents, breach of campground guidelines and overstaying will be subject to additional charges. Cheela Plains Station Stay reserves the right to deduct these charges, in addition to accommodation, to the presented credit or debit card supplied at check-in.
